Note: We are migrating to a calendar year based membership to align with the flying season. All current and new memberships will expire on December 31st 2025.

While we are making this transition, new members can sign up here.

The Victorian Rocketry Association was first established as Tripoli Australia in 1996, and is the Victorian prefecture of the Tripoli Rocketry Association (TRA), a global rocketry organisation. Tripoli Australia changed its name in 2021 to the Victorian Rocketry Association.

Join The Victorian Rocketry Association (VRA)

Joining the Victorian Rocketry Association involves two step which requires two separate memberships:

1. You must first join the Tripoli Rocketry Association and receive your TRA membership number.
2. Then you can join the VRA.

1.   Tripoli Rocketry Association (TRA) – United States

The first requirement for joining the Victorian Rocketry Australia is to join and pay your membership to the Tripoli Rocketry Association in the United States. This membership conveys a range of benefits, including insurance for sanctioned launches throughout the world, access to the Tripoli publications, website content, and merchandise.  TRA also establishes safety codes, certification levels, and processes.

These membership fees are invested and reallocated to support Prefectures throughout the world. The VRA has continuously receives funds which we have used to enhance launch facilities, equipment, and safety gear.

When signing up to the TRA, please don't forget to add the VRA as your Tripoli prefecture.

This can be done in step 5 of the TRA sign up process by selecting the  button. The VRA is named "Tripoli Victoria" and is located under the "Oceania" sub-heading.

2.   Victorian Rocketry Association (VRA)

The second membership is for VRA.

This membership allows you to fly your rockets at any VRA sanctioned event, you will receive regular communications from the organisation, invitations to attend social gatherings updates on weather conditions for launch days, and use of launch equipment.

Memberships are valid from January to December and cost $80 per year. We do not offer part-year fees.
